No more truck ban in Manila.
Executive Order 67 of Manila Mayor Joseph 'Erap' Estrada effectively lifts City Ordinance 8336 that bans trucks on city streets from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Instead, the one that will be observed is MMDA's (Metro Manila Development Authority) truck ban from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. – except for Sundays and holidays.
According to Erap, "We leave it to the national government,". "We are giving them the chance because conflicts may arise between the task force they created and ours. That‘s why I'm avoiding that conflict,".
